GREEFF CHRISTIE’S VALUATION COMPETITION
TERMS AND CONDITIONS (the “Rules”)
By participating in this Promotion (or “Competition”), Greeff Christie’s International Real Estate’s clients stand a chance to win a cash prize of R10 000 (ten thousand rands only).
1. The Promoter: This Greeff Christie’s Promotion is run by Greeff Residential Properties (Pty) Ltd (“Greeff Christie’s” or “Greeff Christie’s International Real Estate” or “us” or “we” or “our”) and is open to all Greeff Christie’s clients who: (a) are new or existing clients; (b) are 18 (eighteen) years or older; (c) opt in for all marketing communication from Greeff Christie’s International Real Estate; (d) complete a successful valuation with Greeff Christie’s International Real Estate; (e) are residents in South Africa; and (f) have a valid South African ID (“participants” or “clients” or “you” or “your” or “they” or “their”)
By participating in this Promotion, you confirm your acceptance of these Rules.
2. The Promotion Period: The Promotion commences at 00:01 on 22 November 2022 and ends at 23:59 on 1 June 2024 (the “Promotion Period”).
3. How to participate: To participate in the Promotion, you must successfully complete a valuation with Greeff Christie’s International Real Estate and be subscribed to all our marketing communication by or before 23:59 on 1 June 2024. You should not unsubscribe from any or all marketing communication during participation in the Promotion. If you unsubscribe during the Promotion Period, your entry into this Promotion will be deemed invalid and you will no longer be eligible to win, regardless of whether a successful valuation was completed. Please note that all clients who successfully complete a valuation will receive an email confirming that their entry into this Promotion has been approved.
4. Prize: The prize will be awarded after the Promotion Period, as set out in the paragraph below. Each new, successfully completed valuation will be entered into the competition with a fair chance to win.
5. Cash Prize: There is one cash prize of R10 000 (ten thousand rands only). The winner will be chosen by random draw and notified via the email address used to sign up/opt in to receive communication from Greeff Christie’s International Real Estate.
Please note that the prize will be subject to the following terms and conditions:
- All participants need to remain subscribed to all marketing communication from Greeff Christie’s International Real Estate for the duration of the Promotion Period.
- Participants will only be entered into the promotion once the valuation has been successfully completed with Greeff Christie’s International Real Estate.
- The cash prize cannot be transferred to another individual who did not qualify for the competition.
- It is the responsibility of the competition winner to safeguard the cash prize as it cannot be replaced and the value cannot be redeemed if the money is lost or stolen.
6. Should you win the cash prize, a Greeff Christie’s contact centre agent will attempt to contact you via phone or email within 7 (seven) working days of the random draw taking place, in order to verify your details so that the cash prize can be issued to you. We will make 2 (two) attempts via phone or email in order to verify your full name, identity number, contact details and proof of banking details (on a bank-stamped letter, not older than 3 (three) months) (“Personal Information”). If the participant does not respond during either of the two attempts to contact them via phone or email within the aforementioned 7 (seven) days after the random draw, they will automatically forfeit the prize.
7. After being successfully contacted by Greeff Christie’s, you will then need to confirm your
details (which may include Personal Information, as defined above) by replying to the email or calling our call centre at +27 (0)21 763 4120 within 7 (seven) days of receiving contact from us. Failure to answer any further calls, reply to our emails or contact the call centre within the stipulated timeframe will result in you forfeiting the prize.
8. Payment of the cash prize: The cash prize, worth R10 000 (ten thousand rands only), will be paid directly into the nominated bank account of the successful participant by Greeff Christie’s, after successful verification of the winning participant’s details.
9. These Rules may be amended by us, on notification, at any time during the Promotional Period. In the event of unforeseen circumstances or causes beyond our reasonable control, we reserve the right to cancel this competition (before entries are received) and to change the nature of the cash prize at any time (with notice to you).
10. By signing up for Greeff Christie’s International Real Estate’s marketing communication and this Promotion, you accept all of our terms and conditions. Your acceptance of these terms and conditions means that you consent to share your personal information with us and agree that it will be used in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information (POPI) Act as outlined in clause 14 below.
11. Greeff Christie’s International Real Estate reserves the right to carry out audits in respect of participants to verify their eligibility to participate in this Promotion.
12. By participating in the Competition, you agree to indemnify Greeff Christie’s, and release and hold Greeff Christie’s harmless against any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with this Competition or resulting from acceptance and participation in the Competition including, but not limited to, personal injuries, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy.
13. Any reference to Greeff Christie’s in these terms and conditions shall be deemed to include reference to Greeff Residential Properties (Pty) Ltd and any of their holding, associated or sister companies, licensees and subsidiaries.
14. Protection of Personal Information (POPI)
14.1 Any personal data relating to the winning participant or any other participants will be used solely in accordance with the Act and POPI and will not be disclosed to a third party without the participant’s prior consent.
14.2 This Promotional Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or any other social network.
14.3 The participant by partaking in the promotional competition consents to their personal information being shared with the promoter's employees, contractors or agents for the purpose of this promotional competition and for the purpose of sharing future promotional competitions.
14.4 The personal information, as defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013, which is collected from you and processed by the Promoter, is done solely with your consent and in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy. The personal information which you provide to us in completing this competition form will be processed purely for the purposes of this competition and used for market research. We will not share your personal information further unless the Promoter so requires it in terms of law or in terms of a legitimate business purpose.
